Review: Lumu Power Light Meter for iPhone

By Adam Bush on March 8, 2019

Hey storytellers, Adam here! Today, we’ve got a Story Guide first: A Product Review. Today, Gary and I are shooting a video; and recently, we read about the Lumu Power Light & Color Meter, so we borrowed one and we’re giving it a go! It’s pretty awesome, so I thought I’d post about it. (I should point out that this is not a paid advertisement, I just wanted to post about it, because I thought it’d be helpful.)

First, this thing is ridiculously small. It plugs into your iPhone and grabs the room’s light and color temps super fast.

Pros: super small attachment that fits in your pocket. Batteries not needed. It gives you pretty accurate color temp readings and the detailed settings you need for proper exposure.. Also, it comes in a nice, little case.

Cons: It’s about $250, but maybe that’s really not a big deal when you consider how helpful it is and how often you’d use it and the price of a dedicated color or light meter.

Below, I’ll post some specs from the site. Check ’em out, give this thing a go and happy storytelling!
